Avigna is hiring Senior Python Developer – Stockholm

Our IT Delivery Center aims to build strong and sustainable solutions for customers across Europe. We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join a strategic program within a leading financial institution in Stockholm. This role focuses on scaling credit risk models and frameworks for capital calculation, offering deep exposure to regulatory analytics and enterprise-level solution design.

Stockholm, Sweden

💻 Mode of Work:

Hybrid (on-site and remote)

🛠️ Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical design and development of Python-based solutions for credit risk modeling
  • Collaborate with product management to translate business requirements into scalable applications
  • Build robust data pipelines and analytical tools using Python, Pandas, and Polars
  • Implement orchestration, caching strategies, and API integrations on cloud platforms
  • Maintain metadata, user access controls, and system security
  • Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability
  • Document system architecture, data flows, and technical specifications

🎓 Qualifications:

  • 9–10 years of professional experience in Python development
  • Strong command of third-party libraries such as Pandas and Polars
  • Proven experience in cloud environments and API-based integrations
  • Background in solution architecture and application design
  • Familiarity with orchestration tools and caching techniques
  • Hands-on experience with credit risk IRB models
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and team collaboration skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
